Rachel is the kind of member that inspires us to stay positive when we wake up on the wrong side of the bed. She embodies our mission to live better and takes advantage of all our club amenities. She’s hard working, patient, and kind. We are so excited to share her story!

“Walking into 212 Fitness for the first time, I noticed so many happy, fit, and healthy people. I thought, ‘I want to be like that, why not me?’ At that point, I was a sick, tired, overweight and overwhelmed, middle aged caregiver. I knew nothing about fitness, I didn’t take any time for my health, I’d tried a million ‘diets’ and I had recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes of which my mother passed away of at 59.

I joined and started personal training with Kevin as I knew my life depended on it. I began consistently investing time in myself, 90 minutes 5 days a week, and I started making healthier food choices. Within 8 months I expelled 50lbs, discontinued 3 medications, and I have been inspired to start a career in massage therapy.

I’m so grateful to my trainer, Kevin, for not only his expert instruction and professionalism but also for his encouragement and support. I couldn’t have done it without him or all my friends at 212 who always provide a friendly atmosphere and a top of the line facility. Starting personal training at 212 is the healthiest decision I ever made. I feel I’m just in the middle of an exciting journey and I’m doing something for myself that I LOVE doing! We all have our own challenges, it’s with your attitude that you will conquer. Become the best version of yourself and enjoy the journey.”
